The look relies on a limited material palette: white concrete, quartz blocks, black concrete, and large glass panels. Flat roofs, cantilevered sections, and geometric shapes define the modern aesthetic.

This guide walks through constructing a contemporary two-story modern house with an open floor plan, floor-to-ceiling windows, and an infinity pool.

Foundation and Structural Frame

Begin with a 13x11 foundation using quartz pillars at the corners. Unlike medieval builds, modern homes use clean, flush foundations. White concrete or smooth quartz blocks form the main structural elements. The frame should sit directly on the ground without a visible foundation ledge.

Pool and Outdoor Area
